When I built the new Azimuth Drive assembly I didn't put a Mechanical stop on it. It had software and electrical stops so I did not bother. Big mistake. I guess I knew one day it may go horribly wrong and I was right, it did. So I had to correct my mistake.

This was a difficult one to solve as there was nothing solid to allow anything to drive hard against. Probably why I did not bother in the first place. In the end I settled for the bolt I had used to joint the chain that I had used to hit the micro switches driving into two pieces of unitstrut either side of the drive chain. In order to make this work I strengthend the bolt and mounted the unitstrut as shown on the gear box mounts. Relavtivly simple to implement and it even appears to work ok.
